Stary Gorod (Old Town)

“Stary Gorod” (which means Old Town in English) is a neighbourhood with low-rise buildings that extends the infrastructure of the Country Park multifunctional center. The idea behind this project is to recreate the atmosphere of medieval European cities. Stary Gorod includes a picturesque, of 5 ha pedestrian zone, comprising shops, exhibition halls, galleries, art schools for children, cafés, restaurants, a registry office, swimming pools, health clubs and other facilities. The architectural landmark of this neighbourhood is the central square featuring a town hall, a tower and a fountain.

The park has been adapted to fit the natural course of the brook of the Chernavka river. For this project 20,000 sqm of land will be improved, including the wastewater purification, soil reinforcement and landscape gardening. An artificial water reservoir will stretch along the bottom.

Several multilevel parking structures will be built for visitor convenience.

Real estate projects with a complex infrastructure that serve commercial, recreational and business purposes are typically realized in places that are heavily frequented by people and within the scope of reviving historical areas. What is unique about this Old Town is the establishment of a new town center and points of interest, not only for the population of Khimki, but also for the whole north-eastern region of Moscow.
